Update your Pulse App on your phone via the Apple or Google Play Store.
Turn on your Pulse and open the app. Connect over bluetooth and navigate to Settings > About > Update. If you firmware is not up to date, a popup will prompt you as well. We highly recommend leaving Pulse disconnected from your camera during this process.
Keep the Pulse App open during the update, which will continue to 100% then flash the 'Successful Update' screen.
If your update gets stuck at 100%, fully exit the app, turn Pulse off then on, and restart the update.
The 'About' page should now look like the image below (Current App: v1.11.4 for Android and v1.13.4 for iOS). If you are having problems reconnecting your Pulse after the firmware update, click here.
Having an Issue After Updating the App/Firmware?
We have seen that for some users, when the firmware update is performed the link keys between your phone and your Pulse can get messed up. What this means is that your phone will remember your Pulse, but the Pulse won't have the correct information to connect to the phone. Fortunately this is a quick thing to fix!
Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings, tap the information or settings button next to your Pulse, and then 'Forget This Device' for iPhone or "Unpair" for Android"

This is especially important for newer iPhones
Turn your Pulse on
Open the Pulse App and connect to Pulse.
2. Plug Pulse into your camera AFTER connecting Pulse to your phone
Open the app and pair your Pulse.
Turn on your camera and connect Pulse with the USB cable.
Follow the screen below to establish a bluetooth connection.
At this point, you should be all set, but if you are still having issues with the firmware update, please try the following:
1. Update one Pulse at a time.
If you have multiple Pulses, only turn one on for the update at a time.
Turn off any bluetooth devices nearby that may be causing interference.
2. Complete Pulse Reset:
Turn Pulse Off.
Fully close the Pulse App. Android: do this in your phone's settings. iOS: double tap the home button and swipe up on the Pulse App.
