Alpine Labs was formed to make motion time lapse photography accessible to photographers of all levels. With our first Kickstarter campaign we launched Radian: a precision rotary motion time lapse device. In 2014 Alpine Labs merged with fellow Kickstarter success story Vivo Labs, bringing Michron under the same roof. Both devices allow photographers to take stunning stationary and motion time lapses with their cameras. We're currently in production for our newest tool, Pulse: the best way to control your camera from your smartphone.
Alpine Labs is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and also has an office in San Diego, California. All products and software are designed in-house, in the USA.
From sunny San Diego California, I studied a combination of physics, mechanical engineering, computer science and electrical engineering. I grew up woodworking and building, and I love working on physical, tangible products that integrate my varied background (no social networking apps for me). I love that Radian and Michron have empowered both new and experienced photographers to capture the beauty of the world in which we live, and I am proud to be a part of this team.
Born in San Diego, I grew up spending an inordinate amount of time outside. Whether it was surfing at Blacks Beach, or climbing up in the Sierras or Joshua Tree, I loved being in beautiful places and as I grew older sharing them with others through photography and film. I stayed in San Diego for the outdoor access and followed my passion for understanding people and their stories by studying Psychology at UCSD. During this time I became enthralled with the learning the skills necessary to take an idea from concept to reality and later joined the MBA program at UCSD. I continue to be fascinated by the art of storytelling and love that Radian and Michron give you the tools to tell your story differently. It is awesome to be a part of such a dedicated and passionate team and I cannot wait to show you what we have next.
Hailing from the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, I left home to pursue a BS in computer engineering from the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated in December of 2013. I moved to Boulder Colorado in the early fall of 2015 for the tech scene as well as to enjoy the Colorado lifestyle. I love working on hard problems, and there is no shortage of them at Alpine Labs. Check out my website if you get a chance!
After spending my first 18 years in New Orleans, I moved to San Francisco for college. After graduating in 2007, I spent my next few years as an engineer for a physician scheduling company, a speech analytics company, and then a social network for schools. I eventually settled down in Colorado and joined Alpine Labs after meeting the awesome team. I love working on user interface, design, graphics, and the functionality that ties into them. My father's a serious photographer, so I'm really excited about making products that he and his community will enjoy.
Born in San Francisco I grew up hiking, fly-fishing, and exploring throughout the Sierra Nevadas. This translated to attending UCSD where I joined the Men's Crew team and studied Bioengineering and Economics. I love Alpine Lab's innovative and intuitive approach to photography and am stoked to be working with such a driven group of individuals. Being a part of a team that gets more people outside enjoying the world around them is a hugely inspiring and educational experience!
Originally from Nepal, my family immigrated into the US in 2006. As a senior studying Computer Science and Art at CU Boulder, I am excited to be a part of a company that fosters creativity and makes time-lapse photography accessible to the masses while tackling challenging problems. Nothing makes me feel better than knowing that I had a small hand in helping the realization of such beautiful products. If you wanna see what I'm up to, then you can visit my website here.
Growing up in Silicon Valley, I came to have a vast appreciation for exploring, technology, and the arts. These interests were further fostered during my time studying Political Science and Computer Science at UCSD, and I plan to keep growing and learning as a member of the awesome Alpine Labs team!
Growing up in Colorado, I’ve had no shortage of amazing places to explore and photograph. I have a crazy passion for cameras and all kinds of photography. In fact, I have a collection of 26 cameras and counting! My love of photography, and helping others get into photography, brought me to Alpine Labs. I’m excited to be working with a team that makes photography more approachable for everyone, and I’m even more excited to see what you all capture while exploring and adventuring!
