  • Set it and forget it

    You don't need to keep your smartphone or tablet connected to Radian. Once you specify your settings you're free to disconnect knowing that nothing will interfere with your time lapse.

    • Note: a heavy off-axis moment, caused by a large lens, will not allow Radian to balance on a tabletop unless an off-axis mount is used to shift the camera back.

    Wireless pairing

    Radian connects to your phone using the latest Bluetooth Low Energy technology. This connection supports thumbnail transfer to your smartphone or tablet, adjusting time lapse settings and programming motion.

    USB camera tethering

    Radian tethers to your camera via your camera’s USB port to adjust camera settings and to review thumbnails. Cameras typically have one of three types of USB ports. Radian comes with one USB cable that is appropriate for your camera. Additional cables are available if you would like to use Radian with cameras that have different USB ports.

    Shutter port control

    Radian connects to your camera’s shutter port to trigger photos and time lapses.

  • Battery life

    Like all electronics, battery life varies with operating conditions and temperatures below 0°C may reduce battery performance. Additionally, some cameras may draw power from Radian.

    Radian has an LED that blinks red when charging and turns green when fully charged. When first turned on, Radian will blink to indicate remaining charge. While photographing, you can check the remaining charge in the app.

    Sony cameras are not compatible with the USB features of Radian due to Sony’s technology limitations which do not allow photos to be saved while tethered to any USB device, including Radian. You can use a Sony camera with Radian for the motion features of Radian.
