Camera Connection

Please note that we have made some huge improvements to the Pulse app and Firmware since its original release. We highly recommend you update your App and your Pulse's firmware to take advantage of some of the newest features!

If your app has been able to connect to Pulse but says "No Camera Connected" or "Scanning for Camera" without making a connection, try below:

Camera/USB Connection

  1. Check your camera's battery is at least 25% charged and make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both Pulse and your camera.
  2. Set your camera and lens to 'M' Manual.
  3. Enable any USB remote control settings in your camera's settings menu. This usually means changing the USB connection from 'PC connection' to 'MTP/PTP'.
  4. Is an SD memory card inserted into the camera? Check out your camera's SD card slot and make sure one is inserted so your camera can properly take pictures. If images are not being saved, their information will not be sent to the Pulse App.
  5. Make sure your SD card is not at full capacity for the same reasons as above.
  6. Turn wifi off on your camera if it is an option.

If you have checked all of these things and your camera still is not being detected, go to Devices in the Pulse app.

If you are already connected to a Pulse, tap the blue circle next to it. Then tap the empty circle to reconnect to Pulse.

If you are not already connected to a Pulse, swipe down in the Devices screen to reconnect with Pulse. This will also make Pulse attempt to reconnect with the camera.
