About Alpine Labs

Alpine Labs started as a group of friends who were passionate about engineering and time-lapse photography. Inspired by weekend climbing trips to Yosemite we wanted to help photographers capture complex visual stories with simple and intuitive products. We are built from the ground up, were born on Kickstarter 3 years ago and now have three flagship products: Radian, Michron, and Pulse. As a small team we balance being highly professionally motivated while also wanting to get out to climb, ski or mountain bike after work and on the weekends. We’ve also been known to take powder days off.

Job Description

You will document and develop brand guidelines to refine our brand strategy as a company. Your focus will primarily be on conducting user research to formally discover who we are and then couple that with insights about the market landscape to design our core identity. Across experiences it’ll be critical that all brand expressions, visual and otherwise, ladder up to that core identity. You will use your technical design skills to execute on your knowledge of the intangible and emotional qualities that matter most to users.

This role requires that you have strong project management skills and a formal background in design. We expect you to be motivated, able to accomplish projects with minimal oversight and have a strong foundation in and process for user research.

This is a great experience for an undergrad or grad design student to work on both the discovery and design side of branding during the formative stage of a company. Over the course of this project you will apply and develop your design skills and present your work to the CEO and founders.

This is a paid three month part-time position (15 hours per week). This position is not a summer internship and starts immediately.
